Today the Rich Negrin for Philadelphia District Attorney campaign announced that the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 19 has endorsed Negrin in the Democratic Primary campaign for DA.
“With more than 4,300 hard working men and women in the union, the Sheet Metal Workers are one of the strongest, most active organizations in the city,” noted Negrin. “I’m proud to have their support. Just as the Sheet Metal Workers are committed to innovating and leading in their industry, so too will I make sure that the district attorney’s office is always on the leading edge of progressive thought and innovation in the delivery of justice. I plan on making the office a model for the rest of the country.”
“Rich was an obvious choice for us,” said Gary Masino, president and business manager for Local 19. “He’s the most qualified by far, he’s someone we know and trust to do the job well, and he’s committed to putting the DA’s office back on track and making Philadelphia a national leader. Our membership whole heartedly backs Rich Negrin for DA.”
The Sheet Metal Workers endorsement follows recent endorsements for Negrin by Katie McGinty, State Rep. Donna Bullock, and other women around the city. For a full list of Negrin endorsements, please visit our endorsements page.
